My quilt, Floatin’ Around the Meadow, won an Honorable Mention at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt  Show this July.  The theme was Stars over Sisters.  The back of the quilt has Sisters, Oregon fabric from previous quilt shows.

New Pattern Available - Steppin’ Up the Squares comes in two sizes 58” x 68” and 40” x  60”  This simple pattern is made up of a single block and goes together in no time.  Click here to order.

I was interviewed for the Alliance for American Quilts, Quilters’ S.O.S - Save Our Stories.  You were asked to pick a quilt and discuss it.  I selected, It‘s Never Pointless.  You were also asked about quilting in general.

A “Sprinkling of Stardust” was my entry for the 1st Challenge Round in the McCall’s Quilt Design Star Contest where it took 1st place in Challenge #1.

“Shifting Focus” was my initial entry into the contest.

“Tribute to Busby” was my entry for the 2nd Challenge Round.

Here’s my challenge #3 quilt on the left.  It’s called Dilithium Crystals - which, if you actually look at them in their molecular structure, looks something like my quilt.  (Nerdy and “Trekkie,” I know.)

It’s inspiration was “Shifting Focus” shown below.

In 2010 I competed in the  McCall’s Quilt Design Star contest.  Below are my entries into the contest.  It took place over a good number of months during 2010/2011.  I made three quilts and a bunch of new quilting friends.  If you’d like to see how they were made, click on over to my Videos page.

Shimmering Sight took 1st Place Machine Pieced/Appliqued and Machine Quilted at Quilt Hawaii 2011 this summer.  The best part was being able to go to Oahu and see the show.

Just got back from Road to California 2012 where my quilt A Sprinkling of Stardust took 1st Place Traditional Wall Quilt.
